Sydney Airport<\/h2>\n

Sydney Airport is an international airport located 9km south of Sydney\u2019s city centre. There are a few options to get to and from Sydney Airport to the city. Please see below for more details:<\/p>\n

Train<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sydney Airport is located just 13 minutes by train from the city. There are train stations located at both the International and Domestic terminals, which operate as part of the Airport Link train service.<\/p>\n

The Domestic terminal train station is located directly between T2 and T3 terminals and is accessible from within the terminals from the Arrivals level. The International terminal train station is located at the northern end of the terminal and is accessible from the Arrivals level.<\/p>\n

The Opal Card enables the traveller to use Sydney\u2019s train, bus and ferry system.You can get an Adult Opal Card from the Airport Train Station, Relay and WH Smith \u2013 www.opal.com.au<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Travel to the city<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Airport Link is a fast and convenient way to reach the centre of Sydney. Trains run approximately every 10 minutes and the journey to the city takes only 13 minutes. The international and domestic rail stations link directly to the City Circle line, which means most city destinations are within a short walk of stations.<\/p>\n

Taxis<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Each terminal has its own sheltered taxi rank with supervisors on hand during peak times to ensure a smooth flow of taxis for travellers. Kerbside supervisors can also organise taxis with baby capsules, wheelchair access, five-seaters and maxi taxis for larger groups or station wagons for large amounts of baggage.<\/p>\n

Getting around Sydney<\/h2>\n

Sydney\u2019s public transport system features a comprehensive network of train, bus and ferry services. Light rail lines, airport links, sightseeing buses and taxi services complement the network.<\/p>\n

Opal Card<\/h3>\n

You can get a free smartcard ticket to load funds for use on trains, buses, ferries and light rail. The Opal card can be used on the transport network extending beyond the city to the Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Hunter, Illawarra and Southern Highlands regions surrounding Sydney.<\/p>\n

Banking Hours<\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
Banking hours in Sydney are: 9.30am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 9.30am-5pm Friday. Most banks provide convenient automatic teller machines. Foreign currency exchange is available during trading hours. There are a number of ATM\u2019s located close to the forum venue.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

Climate<\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
Sydney enjoys a sunny, Mediterranean-style climate all year round with more than 340 sunny days per year. Summers are warm to hot and winters are mild, with rainfall spread fairly evenly throughout the year. The average maximum temperature during Spring (September to November) is around 23\u00b0C. Sydney\u2019s rainfall is highest between March and June.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

Time Zone<\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
Sydney\u2019s central time zone is GMT + 10:00. Sydney is based on Australian Eastern Standard Time and observes daylight saving time from early October to late March, when clocks are advanced one hour. At the time of the forum Sydney will be GMT +11:00.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

How do I know if I am registered for a social function?<\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
A ticket to the Welcome Reception\u00a0and Forum\u00a0Dinner is included in each full registration. Additional tickets can be purchased for day registrants and accompanying partners. After registering for TEFMA you would have been emailed a registration confirmation which lists the\u00a0social functions for which you are registered. If you require another copy please email Tobie Newman<\/a>.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

Can I bring a partner along to the social functions?<\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
Yes, you most certainly can \u2013 additional tickets can be booked when you registered online, or through the Leishman Associates office. Please email your request to: Tobie Newman<\/a>. During the forum, bookings can be made at the registration desk, subject to availability.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

I have special dietary requirements \u2013 what do I do?<\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
You must advise the forum managers of any special dietary requirements when you register for the forum. Caterers at each function will be informed of these. During the day there will be a buffet table offering food suitable for dietary requirements. If you are unsure, please don\u2019t hesitate to ask staff at the registration desk.<\/p>\n

IMPORTANT<\/strong> \u2013 If your dietary request relates to a life threatening allergy, please ensure that you advise the organisers as soon as possible.

What food is included in my registration? <\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
Full Registration:<\/strong> All morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea is provided each day. All food at the Welcome Reception and Forum\u00a0Dinner is included, if you are attending.

How do I gain entry into the forum sessions?<\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
It is suggested that delegates arrive at preferred sessions promptly to ensure a seat. If sessions become full then delegates will not be allowed entry. Please wear your name tag for entry into all sessions.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n

How do I pay for my accommodation? <\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div>
When you book your accommodation your credit card details will be transferred to the hotel you have selected \u2013 please confirm this on check in with your hotel. Your credit card will not be charged until you check out. If you have arrived 24 hours later than your indicated arrival day you may find that you have forfeited your deposit.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n
