He is the director of the Learning and Affect Technologies Engineering Research Laboratory, co-director of the Learning Analytics Research Group, and co-director of the Faculty of Engineering and IT Education Innovation Unit. His research interests are in the area of educational technology, learning analytics, personalized learning, use of technology for student support, and digital learning experiences.<\/p>\n<p>He is the author of over 150 technical papers in scholarly journals and international conferences in the area of educational technology.
